Fees Summary
PNC's Virtual Wallet schedule effective 31 May 2026 lists:
| Transfer type | Standard PNC fee |
|---|---|
| Self-service international wire in foreign currency | $5 |
| Self-service international wire in US dollars | $40 |

PNC notes that account-specific pricing applies. Correspondent-bank costs and other expenses may be added, and a recipient bank may assess fees or taxes.
The foreign-currency wire uses PNC's applicable exchange rate. Because PNC does not publish a standard percentage markup, compare the final recipient amount with other services for the same route.
International Money Transfers to Latin America
PNC's separate remittance service supports Mexico, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia. It can send to supported bank accounts, while branch transactions can also support cash pickup on eligible routes.
Digital transfers cost $5 and branch transfers cost $10. Most digital routes have a $1,500 daily limit and $3,000 monthly limit, while BBVA Mexico supports up to $10,000; branch limits vary by deposit or cash pickup. Check the current route table because availability and limits can change.
Speed
PNC says the Latin America International Money Transfer service is expected to deliver within one business day. International wire timing varies by destination country, recipient bank and amount.
For a wire, PNC provides an availability date during submission. Security review, intermediary processing, weekends and incorrect recipient information can cause delays.
Receiving an International Wire
PNC publishes SWIFT code PNCCUS33 for international transfers to a PNC account and routing number 043000096 for domestic wires. The sender may also need the recipient's account number, name, address and contact details.
Foreign-currency payments may be routed through a currency-specific correspondent bank. Use PNC's current receiving instructions rather than copying an old intermediary-bank list.
Safety and Market Scope
PNC Bank, National Association is a member of the FDIC. Its US retail service is distinct from PNC Canada Branch; the latter has separate accounts and instructions.
Only send wires or remittances to people and businesses you know and trust. Confirm account information independently because completed bank transfers may be difficult to recover.
Verdict
PNC provides useful choices for existing US customers: general international wires for broad destinations and a lower-fee remittance product for selected Latin American routes. The digital channels and published fee schedule make the starting fee relatively clear.
The final cost still depends on the exchange rate and possible third-party deductions. Compare recipient amounts, and check whether the $5 Latin America service is available before defaulting to a $40 or $50 international wire.
